On Wednesday, August 5th, we went on a fungi nature walk with Larry Millman. We saw a suprising amount of fungi and learned how fungi work in their ecosystem. Larry also showed us how to recognize common fungi. Most can be identified by their bright colors, spores, and soft, puffy or scaly texture. I was suprised how much he knew about these often ignored organisms. It was great learning from him, and experiencing a different type of nature walk. I really enjoyed learning about animals in the morning and fungi in the afternoon.
